The men of Kappa Alpha Psi, Tampa Alumni, held their annual gala, The Black and White Ball at the luxurious Pepin Event Hall where more than 300 guests enjoyed entertainment by the band, The Bus Stop and DJ Rock It Rod.  News Anchor Delia Riley along with Kappa brother Albert Fields co-hosted the event giving it the touch of elegance expected from the Men of Kappa Alpha Psi and their Silhouettes.  Our Silhouettes won Province Chapter of the Year and National Chapter of The Year for Community Service for the work they did with their book drive headed up by Gwen Miller, wife of Commissioner Les Miller.  Thank you ladies for your dedication.

The Kappa brothers with more than 50 years were recognized for their outstanding achievements and commitments to the fraternity, brothers Watson T. Ragin, Rigo Berto Garcia, and Rev. Willie Dixon.  James A. Hammond, one of the 50 plus group was not there in attendance due to another scheduled event, but was surely missed.  The Tampa Alumni also recognized Andre Curry, Keeper of Records for his outstanding contributions to our organization and non-profit arm of The Guide Right Foundation.  Brother Curry is doing a remarkable job juggling his many duties to the fraternity as well as his own family responsibilities and has been very efficient and productive in all aspects.  This years ball was in many respects a new beginning in Tampa Alumni history.  We raised more money this year for the Guide Right Foundation than ever before and are most appreciative to the many supporters in the community and the fraternity for making it all possible, as it was indeed, a collaborative effort.  The men of Kappa Alpha Psi thank the community for its continued support.
