Tampa Kappa Alumni Chapter Honored

JACKSONVILLE – The Tampa Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was named Southern Province Alumni Reclamation Chapter of the Year in the large category during the 67th Southern Province Council Meeting in Jacksonville.

“Congratulations to the brothers for capturing the reclamation large chapter of the year award for the Southern Province,” said Tampa Alumni Polemarch Robert W. Irvin. “We are proud of the award but we still have work to do.”

Reclamation is one of the platforms Kappa Alpha Psi Grand Polemarch Thomas L. Battles wanted to implement nationally and Tampa Alumni went to task to help make his vision a reality.

“In our effort to support the national efforts to reclaim brothers, Tampa Alumni exemplifies the highest level of achievement by receiving the award for reclamation,” noted Tampa Alumni Vice Polemarch Roland Daniels.

By continuing to bring back members to the organization, Tampa Alumni can continue its mission to help better serve the community. Some of the organization’s projects include a mentoring program for Tampa Bay area boys, involvement with Sheehy Elementary School, a community fitness boot camp as well as supporting local organizations such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
